Custom Lefever Nitro Special 12g. The customer of this Lefever wanted a custom stock in straight grip and to his specific dimensions. A beautifuly colored piece of american black walnut was used for the stock. And 24 line per inch checkering was laid down in a pattern inspired by graded Ithaca guns.

The Nitro Special's were produced for a number of years, so it's kind of hard to predict the year without seeing more detail. They were considered to be "workhorse" guns and originally sold for low prices. Surprisingly, they get a fairly decent price nowadays. Depending on the condition, I'd guess anywhere from $600 - $1200.
