X macro vs x macro tacops.
I shoot the X-Macro better than the XL. Maybe an X-Macro Tacops would even the field. I will say that the X-Macro “Comp” does shoot a bit flatter for me and with just maybe a bit less perceived recoil. It certainly does seem that the X-Macro Tacops represents a great value with the extra mags.

The comp definitely makes a difference, especially with self defense ammo (I use 124g HST standard load), but the X Macro comp is basically $150 more. Tacops has two additional mags @ 50 bucks each and the X Macro comp is generally 50 bucks more. I bought a Wilson XL grip module to swap out when I want a more concealable carry for either.
Feed it ammo, thousands of rounds and you will find your answer. Better trigger, red dot, new springs, light, or grip. That won't be known until you familiarize yourself with your weapon. The slimmer slide, higher grip position (lower bore axis), two extra rounds versus my P320 X Compact, and lighter weight makes all the difference for me when CCing the XMacro grip and P365XL slide combo. I carry IWB at 4-5 o'clock and there is a noticeable difference in how this setup feels and carries for me versus either of my P320s.

The marketing department at Sig has triumphed over the engineering department. In the meantime, I'm running a Springfield Hellcat Pro that came with five mags from the factory, is exactly the same size as the Xmacro, and cost ~$300 less.
