The scaling is more complicated than your overall percentage correct and percentile in the group on the mbe. Since the anchor questions and other questions have different effects on the scaling and the actual scaling formula is sort of a black box. Conceivably, if you got a near perfect score on mbe and MPT then mee could be skipped. For example, a 125 is the 32nd percentile, and a 135 is 60th percentile. That is only a ten-point difference but almost a 30-point difference in percentile! So, if you are in the 120’s on the MBE, you may still have a lot of work to do to move your score up a little bit.
