No sense in going 11.5 in MLC upper. I skidded 11.5 with LMT. 12.5" is a midlength gas system and obviously 1" longer barrel length than the 11.5" which is a carbine length gas system. Recoil perception can be tuned and has more to do with what buffer system you have matched to your gas system.But go with what you can find. The real answer is 14.5. Spec war because being able to remove the barrel without first taking off all mlok attachments is a really nice feature they should have done in the first place.
