An the other day, it wouldn't open with the keys in the ignition. The button on the trunk refused to work until the key was out of the ignition.To open your trunk there is a lever to the left of the driver seat, on the floor. If you lift this it will pop the trunk. Jun 18, 2019 · I've added a relay and switch to open my trunk from the inside of the car instead of using the fob thats hanging from the ignition. In oder to unlock my doors I need to use the key fob or the button on the dash. To lock them, I can again use the key fob, the button on the dash and just push the drivers door lock button.
