I'm leaning towards an SM57 due to the versatility should I ever end up needing to mic other instruments, but I know the Sennheiser e609 (and e906 for that matter) are pretty widely recommended for guitar amps. The 3 way switch makes it very versatile, and it can actually immitate a 57 pretty well (that aggressive, 'hairy' upper midrange spike) though with a stronger ...
