Monday I got in and turned the heat on and turned the fan up all of the way and all of a sudden I heard a loud humming along with the normal fan sound.A junkyard compressor will cost you $30- $40 and it should have a good relief valve. You could get an AC vacuum pump, manifold gauge set, adapters, PAG oil, and refrigerant probably for less than a visit to a shop or a dealer. You have already vented most if not all of your R1234yf. If i'm driving for awhile (15 minutes or more) with the heat on and then turn the a/c on it doesn't work. Just keeps blowing heat. After they kick on, it only takes 30 seconds to return back to normal operating temp of 200. Since you have the analog gauges for temp, I don't know what your normal position on the gauge should be.
