It gets good scaling with elemental infusion, relatively low requirements (10 or so STR, 18 DEX), and has the better Straightsword moveset. Combine that with the best elemental infusion for PvP (in general) and you have a nasty recipe in duels.

It outranges every other curved sword but the PKCS. The weapon art isn't great. Lightning Storm is cool though. The AoE is nice for hitting multiple targets like gank squads. Lightning Stake comes out quicker and only takes 1 slot though rather than the 2 of Lightning Storm. Whoevermane. Either the Falchion or the Gold Tracer. Falchion can be buffed, Gold Tracer can't. The show's over. The Painted Guardian Sword is pretty popular, and the Gold Tracer's bleed is pretty useful. Just remember to look at DPS instead of damage per hit. Curved swords won't do as much damage per hit, but they're much faster.
