At times it will start after 5 or 6 attempts sometimes 20 attempts. On the last 5 occasions it would not start until a battery charger or other battery was used.

Known issue, read all about it on here. Your ECM is never allowing the battery to charge at a healthy voltage. YMMV, I am not a mechanic.
