An attachment system would be great to see when NPCs are introduced. Like Fire Emblem. The more time you spend around certain NPCs, the more attached to them you grow, which could affect stats. Like perhaps in combat, when they are in danger, you can get an adrenaline spike that increases your combat effectiveness.

Yeah, the old backers hated the old NPCs, the devs hated the old NPCs, that's why they removed them and working on improving the NPCs. Build 42 is pretty much the foundation to support the NPCs by introducing the plenitude of new features. As for the NPC mod, I think it's either one of these:A: You need to Turn on the "Always Show Cursor".
