Sennheiser's e609 is in the same price range as an SM57 and yet, in my opinion, there is a huge gap in sound. A SM57 sounds clearer, fuller, and much more detailed. Sennheiser E906 !!! THe results were hit and miss, often trying to reset my tone controls on all my gear to somehow reach a more pleasing tone.
