So your problem is definitely one of three things. 1. The car isn't detecting that you've shifted to park. I said earlier you can test this with the door locks. 2. The wire powering the solenoid in the ignition has a short and can't signal the solenoid to fire and release the key lock. 3. The ignition itself went bad.
