Torqhead 24x.

Received 30 Likes on 18 Posts. Spoke with the owner at Torqhead - C4 FYI. I've been pondering the Torqhead 24x conversion for my 96 LT1. Torqhead has had issues with parts at least this entire year for the C4. There is one specific part that they are having issue procuring/getting made.*TorqHead 24x Conversion 2018May30 (Ron).hpl I will say that the conversion kit is a very nice kit, easy to install, and makes tuning better & more reliable. The ONLY issue I see so far is the TCC Lockup functionality not performing as it should (automatically). The LT1 / L99 EGR should have the same 5 terminal connector as the LS style EGRs did. Both will be a "linear" EGR, and the 0411 PCM should control the LT1 EGR just fine. With an LS engine, the EVAP Purge Solenoid receives 12 volts of power from the fuse block, and the PCM (0411) grounds the solenoid to activate it.

Forget the Opti Spark, contact Paul at TorqHead,com they have a complete 24X system that will plug and play the LT1 with a coil over plug system that does away with Opti Spark. I brought the system last year and it works great. Torqhead experience: Yes I do. Pros Very simple install; if you want plug and play simplicity, this is the only option. IMO: quality system Abolutely yes; great for tuning beyond the capabilities of the stock computer.
