I have a 2017 Ram 2500 6.7 with the 68RFE. Made it a few miles from my house and my truck randomly dropped all the way down to 1st gear. Now it’s stuck in 1st. I tried shifting with the switch to change the gears and it won’t do anything. Has a 115K miles on it. Deleted and tuned with EFI live. Have 4 tunes. 25-50-85-100HP.4.7L. Figured out how to take the plug off. Press the tab in, on the top middle of the plug. Than Slide the red locking tab down. Next pull the gray latch down. I used a pry bar to gently pry the bottom of the plug at the same time pushing the gray latch down.If yours has electronic four wheel drive, the electric acutator could be out or going out. you should be able to remove the rod and simply move the switch by hand on the transfer case. It will get you out of 4 wheel drive until you have the ime to diagnose the electronics at least. It has happened to both my 1994 and 1999 S-10 blazers.
