What I would like to have is a 1895 GBL with the gray laminate stock / forend and XS rail and sights that come on the SBL. I have seen that in the past Marlin made the 1895 ABL that has the black finish on the receiver, barrel ect, with the gray laminate stock and forend with no XS rail and sights, but it is no longer made.

This .45-70 rifle has always been accurate and reliable, but the walnut stocks left a lot to be desired.
