I have been looking for parkerized M1 15 rounds magazines for my collection. What I have seen so far is cleaned up magazines with traces of corrosion, then parkerized. In no way attractive. I have been told the parkerized magazines were intented for troops in South East Asia. They should resist the humid climate better when parkerized.

The serial number on the receiver says 210287 and it seems to be from 1942 but the stock is from Bianchi circa 1960 (with thanks to Johnny Rotten for the lead).

I did some looking and it seems the case and the M8 cleaning rod are not inclusive to the M1 carbine. Here is a 1944 marked case I have. Marked P.M.&S.CO 1944. No markings on the aluminum T handle.
