Around here, insurance agents and adjusters loved LeSabres and Park Avenues with the 3800 engine. They'd just pile the miles on them.

The UIM gasket falling apart is nothing unusual when removing the OE gasket from a RWD 3800 for the first time, it's just cracking because half of it is sticking to the UIM and half to the LIM. Those LIM gaskets don't look too bad visually but small leaks on the LIM is noticeable... to me anyway.

It's best to refill with a mix of distilled water (~$1/gal at Walmart) and the "Any Makes/Any Colors" coolant, DexCool compatible without gunk GM ruined many engines with. Those 50-50 pre-mixes are like paying an extra $10 for each gallon of water in the end, so do it manually, and leave those jugs for people in a rush.
