This is important as the valve will open quicker if it is twisted. 2. The spring does wear out. Worn spring will result in lean burn above 1/4 throttle as the slide opens quicker and allows more air.

After inspection it was found that the battery acid was in fact low. I could also smell like an electrical burning smell, and felt that the rectifier was extremely hot. The valve seal was also a problem. The exhaust valve sit's in a pocket that allows oil to sit in it. That makes it easier for the oil to be sucked into the exhaust. Yes, the oil is being sucked into the exhaust when running. As the exhaust is blown through the exhaust port it creates a small vacuum on the valve guide area.

Jun 9, 2020 · wizkid00104. I have an 08 with a battery from 2018 which is normal lead acid. Your best bet would be to remove the battery to confirm it is a lead acid. I believe they use Yuasa batteries. If it’s lead acid, the battery tender is fine. If by chance it is a lithium ion battery, you need a tender that is compatible with lithium ion.
