At my first ultrasound (5w6d), they found two sacs, but only one was confirmed to have a baby. My RE said it could be a vanishing twin, or it may have implanted a little later. At my next appointment (7w6d), they found two sacs, two babies, and two strong heartbeats! Both measured identically at that point! Like.Baby measured at 6W1D and, while they found a heart beat, it was only in the 80s and the gestational sac was an irregular shape.
