While having a great oil filter discussion tonight I looked up a great cross reference guide. This guide has all the filters listed that will fit all types of bikes. Our 1300 and 1800 are listed in group 5. The instructions found in this owner’s manual are limited to adjustments of the shock assembly only. Page 120 5 to 1 may damage the shock absorber. Position 1: for a light load and smooth road conditions. Position 2: standard position. Positions 3 to 5: for when the motorcycle is more heavily loaded. A double-whammy.The PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilator) hose is attached to the intake to burn the fumes vented by the engine. Oil comes along with the fumes. If you have the stock air box, there should be a clear tube under the air box to catch some of the oil. Drain the tube and wipe out the throttle with a dry cloth.
