The big deal is, you can get a ton of items for free and you can get to it pretty much at the start of the game. So I'm having a few issues with the Khajiit merchant chests in Dawnstar and Markarth. With the Dawnstar one, I'm pretty sure I accidentally killed Ahkari a while back. It was pretty early on in the game and I was going into a Fort after talking to her (something about some bandits and an amulet I think) and the bandits attacked. ...

khajiit dawnstar won't show up i start the game and removed the patches because i discovered that they also remove the hidden chest and the loop and i want to use those but the khajiit won't show up now have done the nightmare quest and started on the quest of sam with the drinking competition but still they are not there < >I prefer the whiterun chest. They are not "invisible chests." Each merchant has his or her own chest somewhere in the world. They should not be available, but Dawnstart chest is there due to a bug. You are actually just clearing the merchant inventory from the Khajiit caravan that travels between Dawnstar and Riften.Well much like this chest is linked to his inventory, I believe the Dawnstar invisible chest is linked to the Khajiit trading caravan's inventory. It's basically their inventory. Whenever I get low on money, there's one in Dawnstar that's super easy to find. It only appears when the kajhit caravan is outside Dawnstar though. Edit: just watched this video, interesting he says to wait for the kajhit to be gone. I'll have to test the Dawnstar one to see if it's the same.
