If you just broke the tab off, go to a junk yard and find another one. Unbolt it from the fender and take just the top while leaving the wiring part in the junk truck.Most probably you'll find it's the blower connector and resistors. All you need do to know absolutely for certain is make a separate ground connection for the blower, bypassing the Splice-Pack. You don't need to worry about separating or isolating the existing ground connection (through the harness to the Splice-Pack).I have a 2007 Chevy Colorado Z71 4x4 Crew Cab with the 5 cylinder engine. If that is okay, pull the right kick panel and down low in the opening look for a 22 pin connector (white or light gray). Check the condition of the pins. Power for the blower goes through that connector (Brown wire/Pin A8). Stupid smilies : that is pin A8. There are 6 in the Engine compartment labelled with a "G" in the list. There are 7 total, as far as I can tell. One more near the battery, 2 in the "passenger area", and 2 more behind the rear axle. These are usually pretty trouble free, unlike the C-5s that had the multi-pin connector at each ground.
