Polly Boyd Haight (1815-1891), was the daughter of Bennet Boyd (1793-1853) and Phebe Kelly (1794/5-1868). Captain Bennet Boyd served in the War of 1812. Parents and child are all buried in the Raymond Hill Cemetery in Carmel. The reservoir is named after the Boyd family. Ebenezer Boyd was among the first Euro-American settlers.
