As some others have said, I don't think crossbow expert will be very good in BG3 due to gameplay changes. I would just get sharpshooter and max dex. The builds here I like: Thief4/Fighter 8 - go champ or BM based on pref. Thief4/Ranger8 - just pick whatever subclass you'd enjoy. Keep hunters mark up for more damage.
