I've caught a number of yellowfin (40 lb. class on the 7500SS). First run is impressive, but usually only around 100 yards.Turtle Lake has clarity to 14', so selecting shallow, medium, or deep running baits depended on the amount of SAV in a paticular area. The advantage of the clarity was that you could watch your bait down deep and vary your retreive to swim over and around the SAV where the fish were.

The worm gear that the level wind guide travels on is often forgotten when lubing a reel. Trick is to turn it upside down and put 1-2 drips of lube before fishing.
