It is not even 10%, it is like 2%, at most. It may seem like higher power limit does something significant because it stabilizes clocks and allows for that stable 3000 MHz at all times, but if you then power limit the same overclock to 450W, it will only lose anywhere from 0.5% to 2% performance. yzonker has the superposition tips. No way you'll gain 14% going from a 5950x to a 5800x3d. That benchmark isn't very CPU limited. It can make a difference, but nothing like 14%. With my 3090, my 5800x3D actually scored worse than my 5800x in Superposition. Not a 4090 but it scored WORSE probably due to the lower clock speed.And maybe that's the root of the problem anyway as it seems a bit half baked in CP. The only viable conclusion here is that Nvidia is keeping the binned GPU dies that can take 1.15 or 1.2 volts, and then allowing them to be clocked higher for the RTX 4090 Ti. The 4090 is artificially locked; water cooling is, IMO, a waste for this GPU.
